Schweppes Zimbabwe Limited shines at ZITF 2018 – meets loyal customers, scoops an award, entertains the President
Schweppes Zimbabwe Limited, the country’s leading distributor of non-carbonated beverages reaffirmed its place as a premier brand at the recently ended Zimbabwe International Trade Fair (ZITF 2018). The company was honoured with a silver medal in the Best Zimbabwean Exhibit: Food Group category, ahead of a slew of local and regional brands and enterprises that were also showcasing their products at the expo.
The Zimbabwe International Trade Fair (ZITF) is an annual multi-national, multi-sectorial trade and commerce indaba for brands, public and private enterprises in Zimbabwe, the Southern Africa region, Africa and the world. It is a calendar highlight for competitive service providers that have a massive presence in Zimbabwe and the region like Schweppes Zimbabwe Limited. The company had an elaborate stand that showcased its extensive product lineup and its rich 70 year history with the people of Zimbabwe.
Schweppes Zimbabwe’s award at ZITF 2018 shone light on its continued impressive work in the Zimbabwean and African beverages sector where it is the leading manufacturer and distributor of an impressive catalogue of mega brands. These include the beverages it distributes under licence from the Coca Cola Company.
A number of Schweppes products have become household names in Zimbabwe like the cordials under the Mazoe banner, the Minute Maid range of juices and leading mineral water brands -Bonaqua and Schweppes Water. These products are distributed through Schweppes Zimbabwe’s extensive national network.
In addition to scooping an award, the Schweppes Zimbabwe stand also attracted a lot of attention throughout ZITF 2018, enjoying visits from the general public and from suppliers for other enterprises.
A major highlight for the Schweppes Zimbabwe Limited team was the stand visit from the head of State, President Emmerson Mnangagwa who was accompanied by the ZITF Board Chairperson Ruth Ncube, the Vice President General Chiwenga and other high officials in the government.
